Fluent in Mandarin and English, Jade is known for her patience, calm demeanor, and naturally warm hands—bringing both professionalism and heartfelt care to every treatment.

Path from Engineer to Acupuncturist

After graduating from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Science in Computing Science, Jade began her career as a patent engineer. The intense mental strain led to a month of insomnia, followed by herpes zoster (shingles). Remarkably, she recovered after just three acupuncture treatments—an experience that sparked a deep and lasting interest in the healing power of acupuncture.

Motivated by this transformation, she later enrolled in Vancouver Career College to study Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Herbs, and Acupuncture. She passed the Canadian National Acupuncture Examination and obtained her British Columbia Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac.) license.

In her leisure time, she enjoys reading classics like The Yellow Emperor’s Inner Classic (黃帝內經), and exploring metaphysics, the I Ching (易經), Taoism, meditation, and Qigong. She also has a deep theoretical interest in traditional body–energy dynamics.

Outside of Chinese medicine, she is a passionate classical pianist who enjoys daily musical practice as a form of meditation and introspection—a quiet dialogue between music, emotion, and the universe.
